Hard Jaws
An orthodontic jawbone is a device used in dental treatments to correct certain jaw and bite problems. It is part of a system of straps that are usually worn under the jaw and connected to the top of the head. The main purpose of the mandible is to direct its growth and alignment by applying pressure to the lower jaw. This is particularly useful in treating conditions such as mandibular prognathism, where the lower jaw is too prominent. The device is often prescribed for children and adolescents whose jaws are still growing, as the jaw can be adjusted more easily in this age group. Fitting a mandible helps to achieve a more balanced facial profile and improve overall dental function.
